# Intergas gateway

> Intergas gateway is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 363 installs sharing analytics and works locally.

Intergas gateway is a built-in integration that connects Home Assistant to an Intergas heating gateway over the local network. It provides binary sensors for fault, burner, pump and hot water tap, sensors for signal strength and tap temperature, and climate and water heater entities. Setup happens in the UI, using the gateway host, a username and a password, and Home Assistant can discover the gateway on the network. An option for legacy setpoint handling covers older gateway models and firmware that do not update the thermostat setpoint correctly, though updates may then take a few minutes. Connection settings can be changed later without removing the entry, and new devices appear without setting it up again.
