# Imou

> Imou is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 519 installs sharing analytics and needs the vendor's cloud.

Imou is a built-in integration that connects Imou cameras and related devices to Home Assistant through the vendor's cloud. It adds live view cameras in HD and SD, plus PTZ and mute buttons for controlling a camera. Switches cover privacy mode, motion detection, human detection, audio recording, the indicator light, the white light, abnormal sound alarm and a plug switch. Selects handle volume, night vision mode and moving to a collection point, while sensors report status, storage used, energy consumption and usage duration. Setup happens in the UI with an app ID and app secret from the Imou cloud platform and a server region. New devices appear without setting the integration up again, and a diagnostics file can be downloaded for bug reports.

### Log in to Imou cloud

- **Server region**: Select the server region closest to your location
- **App ID**: The app ID obtained from the Imou cloud platform
- **App secret**: The app secret obtained from the Imou cloud platform

### Sign in again

- **App secret**: The app secret obtained from the Imou cloud platform
