# HTML5 Push Notifications

HTML5 Push Notifications is a built-in integration that sends notifications from Home Assistant to browsers through web push. It adds a notifier and an events platform, and provides actions to send a message, dismiss a notification, and dismiss several notifications at once. During setup, a contact email is entered, which is included in the metadata of each notification. A private key for the push service can be supplied, and one is generated automatically if it is left empty. The integration is configured in the UI and relies on the vendor's cloud for delivery.
