# Holiday

> Holiday is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 13.5k installs sharing analytics and works locally.

Holiday is a built-in integration that adds a calendar of public holidays for a chosen country. It runs locally inside Home Assistant and needs no outside service or extra installation. Setup happens in the UI, where a country is picked and a province can be set. Public holidays are always included, and additional holiday categories can be selected optionally, both during setup and later in the options.
