# HDMI-CEC

> HDMI-CEC is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 68 installs sharing analytics and works locally.

HDMI-CEC is a built-in integration that controls HDMI devices over a CEC capable adapter. It works locally and adds media player and switch entities for the devices on the HDMI network. Actions cover powering on all devices that support it, placing them in standby, and selecting a specific HDMI device. Another action raises or lowers the system volume, and one refreshes device states from the network. A raw CEC command can also be sent through the adapter, and the integration is set up in the configuration file.

- **Select device**: Selects an HDMI device.

- **Send command**: Sends CEC command into HDMI CEC capable adapter.
  Fields: Att, Command, Destination, Raw, Source
- **Standby**: Places in standby all devices which support this function.
- **Update**: Updates devices state from network.
- **Volume**: Increases or decreases the system volume.
  Fields: Down, Mute, Up
