# energieleser

> energieleser is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 1.1k installs sharing analytics and works locally.

energieleser is a built-in integration that reads energy, gas, heat and water meter data from an energieleser device over the local network. It adds sensors for exported and imported energy, active power, total gas and gas flow rate, flow and return temperature, total volume, volume flow, pulse count, total water and water flow rate. Home Assistant can spot the device on the network and offer to add it, and setup is done in the UI by entering the device's local IP address or hostname. Connection settings can be changed later without removing the integration. A repair notice appears in Settings when the meter PIN is required, and a diagnostics file can be downloaded to attach to a bug report.
