# ekey bionyx

> ekey bionyx is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 225 installs sharing analytics and works locally.

ekey bionyx is a built-in Home Assistant integration for ekey fingerprint controllers that exposes their functions as event entities. It adds event entities that are mapped to functions of the fingerprint controller, and each one can be given its own name. During setup, the system the entities belong to is chosen, along with a Home Assistant URL that the fingerprint controller can reach. The integration works locally and is configured in the interface, with a sign-in through the vendor's own page. It needs no separate installation because it ships with Home Assistant.
