# Ecovacs

> Ecovacs is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 10.9k installs sharing analytics and needs the vendor's cloud.

Ecovacs is a built-in Home Assistant integration for Ecovacs robot vacuums and lawn mowers through the vendor's cloud. It adds vacuum and lawn mower entities, along with a map image, a last job event and an error sensor. Sensors report the remaining lifespan of parts such as brushes, filters, mops and the dust bag, and buttons reset each of those lifespans. Numbers and selects adjust values like volume, clean count, water flow level, work mode, active map and auto-empty frequency. Switches cover options such as child lock, carpet auto-boost suction and continuous cleaning. A self-hosted instance can be used instead of the cloud, and an action returns raw positions of the chargers and the device. Setup is done in the UI.

It is added under Settings, Devices and services, with Add integration.

### Connect

- **Mode**: Select the mode you want to use to connect to Ecovacs. If you are unsure, select Cloud. Select Self-hosted only if you have a working self-hosted instance.

### Sign in

- **Country**
- **MQTT URL**: Enter the MQTT URL of your self-hosted instance including the scheme (mqtt/mqtts).
- **REST URL**: Enter the REST URL of your self-hosted instance including the scheme (http/https).
- **Password**
- **Username**
- **Verify MQTT SSL certificate**
