# ecobee

> ecobee is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 9.1k installs sharing analytics and needs the vendor's cloud.

ecobee is a built-in integration that connects ecobee thermostats to Home Assistant through the vendor's cloud. It provides climate, humidifier, weather, sensor, binary sensor, switch, number and notifier platforms. Number settings cover compressor minimum temperature, fan minimum on time and ventilator minimum times for away and home, and a switch controls auxiliary heat only. Actions allow creating and deleting vacations, resuming the programmed schedule, setting daylight savings mode, fan minimum on time, occupancy modes and the sensors used in a climate program. Home Assistant can discover it on the network, and setup is done in the UI.

## Entities

- **Numbers**: Compressor minimum temperature, Fan minimum on time, Ventilator minimum time away, Ventilator minimum time home
- **Switches**: Auxiliary heat only

## Actions

- **Create vacation**: Creates a vacation on the selected thermostat. Note: start/end date and time must all be specified together for these parameters to have an effect. If start/end date and time are not specified, the vacation will start immediately and last 14 days (unless deleted earlier).
  Fields: Cool temperature, End date, End time, Entity, Fan minimum on time, Fan mode, Heat temperature, Start date, Start time, Vacation name
- **Delete vacation**: Deletes a vacation on the selected thermostat.
  Fields: Entity, Vacation name
- **Resume program**: Resumes the programmed schedule.
  Fields: Entity, Resume all
- **Set daylight savings time mode**: Enables/disables automatic daylight savings time.
  Fields: Daylight savings time enabled
- **Set fan minimum on time**: Sets the minimum amount of time that the fan will run per hour.
  Fields: Entity, Fan minimum on time
- **Set mic mode**: Enables/disables Alexa microphone (only for ecobee 4).
  Fields: Mic enabled
- **Set occupancy modes**: Enables/disables Smart Home/Away and Follow Me modes.
  Fields: Auto away, Follow me
- **Set sensors used in climate**: Sets the participating sensors for a climate program.
