# deCONZ

> deCONZ is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 3.1k installs sharing analytics and works locally.

deCONZ is a built-in integration that connects Home Assistant to a deCONZ gateway over the local network. It adds devices from the gateway as alarms, binary sensors, buttons, climate, covers, fans, lights, locks, numbers, scenes, selects, sensors, sirens and switches. Home Assistant can discover the gateway on the network and offer to add it, and setup is done in the UI. Options allow CLIP sensors, light groups and automatic addition of new devices. Device triggers cover events such as shaken, double tapped, flipped, in free fall and turned clockwise or counterclockwise, so devices can start automations directly. Actions can configure device attributes, refresh the device list, and remove orphaned registry entries.

## Setting it up

Home Assistant usually finds it on the network and offers to add it. It can also be added by hand under Settings, Devices and services.

- **Host**: The hostname or IP address of your deCONZ host.

### After setup

- **Allow deCONZ CLIP sensors**
- **Allow deCONZ light groups**
- **Allow automatic addition of new devices**

## Actions

- **Configure**: Configures attributes of either a device endpoint in deCONZ or the deCONZ service itself.
