# Bond

> Bond is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 5.2k installs sharing analytics and works locally.

Bond is a built-in integration that connects Home Assistant to a Bond hub over the local network. It adds buttons, covers, fans, lights and switches for the devices controlled through the hub. Home Assistant can find the hub on the network by itself and offer to add it, and setup is done in the UI with the hub's IP address and an access token. Several actions set the tracked state of a fan speed, light brightness, light power or switch power, which updates what Home Assistant shows without sending a command. Older actions for starting and stopping brightness changes and for clearing the queue are marked deprecated. A diagnostics file can be downloaded to attach to a bug report.
