# Blink

> Blink is a built-in integration for Home Assistant. It has 10k installs sharing analytics and needs the vendor's cloud.

Blink is a built-in integration that connects Blink cameras and alarm systems to Home Assistant through the vendor's cloud. It adds alarm, camera, binary sensor, sensor and switch entities, including camera armed state, Wi-Fi signal strength and a motion detection switch for each camera. Actions can request a camera to record a clip or take a new image, save the last recorded video, or save all recent clips to a local directory. Sign-in uses a Blink account username and password, with a step for a two-factor code. An option sets the scan interval in seconds, and setup is done in the UI. A repair notice covers the removal of the Blink update service.
