It has 94 GitHub stars and was last updated October 20, 2026. Blitzortung Lightning Card is a dashboard card that shows lightning strike data from the Blitzortung integration. It displays the distance, direction and total count of recent strikes, with a compass rose pointing toward the latest one. A radar chart plots recent strike locations and fades them out over a chosen period of 15 minutes, 30 minutes or 1 hour. An optional history chart shows strike numbers over time, and an optional map shows strikes relative to home, with people's positions available as well. Colors for the compass, radar and strikes can be changed, and the map can be forced to light or dark mode. It relies on the Blitzortung integration sensors, and the map and radar also need strike location entities enabled there; the card is added through a visual editor or YAML.
