# Sankey Chart Card

Sankey Chart Card is a dashboard card that draws a sankey chart of flows between entities with numeric states. It suits energy, power or water consumption, and it is not meant as a general graph card. Nodes and links are defined in the card configuration, and nodes can be placed in sections, with pass-through boxes added when a link crosses a section gap. Filters can transform a node's state in order before it is drawn, for example scaling or offsetting values, and a signed sensor can be split into separate nodes for its positive and negative parts. Nodes can be colored by state ranges, and special node types show unmeasured remainders as an Other node or split energy into high-carbon and low-carbon portions. The card can generate its configuration from the Home Assistant energy dashboard, and a custom time period can be set using a Grafana-style range.
