# Custom Animated Weather Card

Custom Animated Weather Card is a dashboard card that shows current and forecast weather with animated icons. It works with any weather provider that supplies the needed sensors, and the sensor entities are passed into the card configuration. It started as a modification of the Dark Sky weather card and adds options such as showing minimum or maximum temperature first, one decimal place for temperatures, wind speed in knots and wind gusts. Rainfall can be shown as an intensity or an absolute number, and optional slots cover UV and fire danger ratings. Layout and content can be rearranged, different icon sets can be used, and hovering over a forecast day shows a daily summary tooltip when enabled. The author describes the card as largely deprecated in favour of Platinum Weather Card.
