It has 22.3k installs sharing analytics and was last updated October 27, 2026. Spotify Connect is a Home Assistant app that plays Spotify music through the device running Home Assistant. It uses the Spotify Connect protocol, so the device shows up as a target that Spotify clients can control. On a Raspberry Pi, for example, the music plays through a sound system connected to the Pi. Settings cover the device name shown in Spotify, the bitrate (96, 160 or 320), the starting volume, autoplay of similar songs, and the log level. An access token can be set to sign in to a Spotify account. It needs Home Assistant OS, runs on aarch64 and amd64, uses the host network, and requires a Spotify Premium account.
