# SONOFF Dongle Flasher

> SONOFF Dongle Flasher is an app for Home Assistant. It has 9.9k installs sharing analytics and was last updated October 22, 2026.

SONOFF Dongle Flasher is an app that flashes firmware onto the iHost MG21 chip and SONOFF Zigbee dongles. It supports the ZBDongle-P, ZBDongle-E, Dongle-M, Dongle-PMG24, Dongle-LMG21, Dongle-PZG23 and Dongle-MZG23 models. Its web interface opens in the Home Assistant sidebar, scans the host for the iHost chip and connected dongles, and lets a Zigbee firmware version be picked from a list. Before flashing, the app checks whether the serial port is occupied by Zigbee2MQTT or ZHA and tries to stop those services. The docs also warn about firmware 7.4 and above, which requires Zigbee2MQTT to start with the ezsp adapter before switching to ember. It runs on Home Assistant OS on armv7, aarch64 and amd64, with host network, full hardware access and Supervisor API access.
